At The HF Group, we have the right equipment for any digitization project: rare books, brittle/fragile items, oversized items such as maps, posters or art on paper. Regardless of the item, we have the appropriate equipment and expertise to do the job right.

 

Using our Kirtas APT Bookscan 1200™, we are able to create high-resolution images from bound volumes. There’s no need to disbind, and the SureTurn™ automatic page turning arm handles fragile/brittle items more gently than the human hand. The full-color, 16.7 megapixel camera captures sharp, crisp images of any subject: text, drawing, photographs and even music. Our post-capture processes are designed to produce images that are of the best possible quality. Our experienced staff will work to meet your specifications precisely. Output is available in all commonly-used file formats. We also offer PDF creation, OCR and metadata creation. Files are returned to you through a variety of delivery mechanisms. We are also able to produce archival quality printed and bound facsimile copies.

Oversized Items Our new oversized scan station is used to produce high quality, color images from original materials up to 40” x 60”. The capture mechanism is a new, 22 megapixel Jenoptik Eyelike™ M22 camera back paired with a Digiflex 67ei camera body. Optically superior Schneider lenses are used to achieve the best possible image sharpness. After capture, images are processed using the sophisticated Eyelike™ Capture Pro software. Our Locations
