Archival Document Reproduction - Overview

Archival document reproduction services employ a variety of technologies to produce superior quality, printed and/or digital facsimiles of deteriorating, damaged and/or non-circulating documents and printed materials.

Digitization technologies produce accurate, archival-quality digital images from bound materials as well as from loose pages. Fragile and/or brittle bound volumes are digitized with utmost care, minimizing the possibility of damaging valuable materials.

We are able to apply various image processing techniques to ensure the resulting images are suitable for their intended use. Printed facsimiles can also be produced.

Our equipment is capable of digitizing bound volumes in black & white, grayscale and color in sizes ranging from 4.5" x 7" to 19" x 19". We can digitize loose sheets and foldouts in black & white and grayscale, up to 17" x 23"; in color, up to 11" x 17".

Preservation photocopy services produce replacement copies that are archivally sound, suitable for circulation and are easy to maintain.

Photocopied facsimiles can be produced from original black & white/grayscale materials up to 35" x 23" and from color originals up to 11"x 17". Bound materials are disbound before photocopying.
